In a significant development for the maritime and aviation industries, LanzaJet, Inc., a leading next-generation sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer, has announced $47 million in new capital and the first close of its equity round at a $650 million pre-money valuation. According to the press release, the new funding round was led by existing investors International Airlines Group (IAG), Shell, Groupe ADP, LanzaTech, and Mitsui. This latest investment further validates LanzaJet's proprietary Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) technology and will enable the company to accelerate its commercial deployment and growth. 'This investment is a testament to the strength of LanzaJet's technology and the growing demand for sustainable aviation fuels,' said Jimmy Samartzis, CEO of LanzaJet.
