The Middle East is a critical global shipping chokepoint, with the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb Strait seeing large volumes of oil, gas, and container traffic. Disruptions in these waterways can have far-reaching impacts on international trade. Industry analysts warn that the situation remains highly fluid, and further escalation could lead to more severe and prolonged shipping delays.
