A new 3.2 GW hyperscale data center campus is being developed in northern Poland, according to a recent announcement.

A new 3.2 GW hyperscale data center campus is being developed in northern Poland, according to an announcement from WBS Power. The Baltic Data Center Campus project is located in Lublewo in the Choczewo municipality of the Pomeranian region. The project aims to establish a large-scale data center facility to support the growing demand for cloud computing and digital infrastructure. According to the press release, the campus will have a targeted capacity of 3.2 GW, making it one of the largest data center developments in Europe. 'This new hyperscale data center campus represents a significant investment in Poland's digital infrastructure,' said Marek Szymanski, CEO of WBS Power. 'As the maritime industry continues to digitize and rely more on cloud-based services, projects like this will be crucial to supporting the sector's growing technology needs.' The announcement did not provide a timeline for the full buildout of the campus, but noted that initial phases are already underway. The project is expected to attract major cloud providers and enterprise tenants seeking large-scale data center capacity in the Baltic region. This development aligns with broader trends in the maritime industry, which has seen increased investment in digital infrastructure and cloud computing to support applications like vessel tracking, logistics optimization, and predictive maintenance. As the industry continues its digital transformation, access to reliable, high-capacity data center services will be essential.
