By MGN EditorialFebruary 13, 2026 at 03:24 AM

Saudi Arabia will host the 2026 Future Aviation Forum, a major global aviation industry event, as the country continues its record-breaking aviation growth.

In a significant development for the global aviation industry, Saudi Arabia has announced that it will host the 2026 Future Aviation Forum (FAF) in Riyadh from April 20-22, 2026. The event is expected to convene more than 11,000 global aviation leaders and experts, including regulators, industry associations, manufacturers, airlines, and airports. According to the announcement from the Saudi government, the 2026 FAF will 'address the most pressing global aviation challenges and opportunities.' Key topics will likely include sustainability, technological innovation, regulatory frameworks, and the industry's post-pandemic recovery. 'Saudi Arabia's aviation sector has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, and the country is positioning itself as a major hub for global air travel and logistics,' said Karim Megherbi, a senior analyst at gCaptain. 'Hosting the 2026 Future Aviation Forum is a clear signal of the Kingdom's ambitions to cement its place as a leader in the global aviation industry.' The announcement comes as Saudi Arabia's aviation market continues to break records. In 2022, the country's airports handled over 100 million passengers, a 54% increase from the previous year. Major investments are also underway to expand airport infrastructure and develop new aviation facilities. 'The 2026 Future Aviation Forum will be a critical platform for aviation stakeholders worldwide to come together, share insights, and collaborate on the industry's most pressing issues,' said Salma Al-Hajjaji, Editor-in-Chief of The Maritime Executive. 'Saudi Arabia's hosting of this event demonstrates its growing influence and importance within global aviation.'
