Louisiana-based Separator Spares & Equipment, LLC has been appointed as an Authorized Distributor for Rivertrace Limited, expanding access to the UK manufacturer's marine environmental compliance and monitoring solutions across the US market.
Separator Spares & Equipment, LLC, a Houma, Louisiana-based supplier specializing in marine separation, heat transfer, oil filtration, and environmental compliance solutions, has been appointed as an Authorized Distributor for Rivertrace Limited, according to a company announcement issued via PR Newswire.
The partnership grants Separator Spares & Equipment the authority to supply and support Rivertrace's portfolio of environmental monitoring equipment to marine operators in the United States. Rivertrace Limited, a UK-based manufacturer, is widely recognized in the maritime industry for its oil-in-water monitors, bilge alarm systems, and related environmental compliance instrumentation — equipment that plays a critical role in helping vessel operators meet international discharge regulations under MARPOL and other frameworks.
'This appointment represents a significant development for US-based vessel operators seeking reliable access to Rivertrace's compliance-grade monitoring technology,' the company stated in its release. Separator Spares & Equipment's existing footprint in marine separation and filtration services positions it as a natural fit for distributing environmental monitoring equipment that complements those systems.
The move reflects broader industry trends as shipowners and operators face increasing regulatory scrutiny over overboard discharge practices. Demand for certified oil-in-water monitoring equipment has grown steadily as port state control authorities and flag states intensify enforcement of MARPOL Annex I requirements governing oily water separator systems and bilge water management.
By establishing an authorized distribution relationship, both companies aim to reduce lead times for spare parts and technical support, a persistent challenge for operators in the Gulf of Mexico region and along US inland and coastal waterways. Houma, Louisiana serves as a strategic hub for offshore marine and energy sector vessel operations, making it a logical base for this expanded distribution network.
Financial terms of the distribution agreement were not disclosed.
