Real estate firm SR Aviation Infrastructure acquires Republic Jet Center and 50-acre development site in Farmingdale, NY, with plans to build a state-of-the-art hangar facility.

SR Aviation Infrastructure (SRAI), a subsidiary of New York- and Nashville-based real estate investment and development firm, has announced the acquisition of Republic Jet Center and a 50-acre development site in Farmingdale, New York. According to the press release, SRAI plans to 'complete the development plans for state-of-the-art hangar facility' at the leading private airport in the New York region. The acquisition marks SRAI's continued expansion in the aviation infrastructure space, as the firm looks to capitalize on growing demand for modern hangar and maintenance facilities. 'This strategic acquisition allows us to further strengthen our presence in the Northeast and better serve the region's thriving general and business aviation community,' said SRAI's CEO John Smith. 'We're excited to transform this site into a world-class aviation hub that will drive economic growth and support the needs of aircraft owners and operators.' The 50-acre Stratosphere Development site provides ample room for SRAI to develop its planned hangar complex, which is expected to include advanced maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities. This investment comes as the private aviation sector continues to see robust growth, with increased demand for premium hangar space and specialized services. Industry analysts note that SRAI's move aligns with broader trends in the aviation infrastructure space, where real estate firms are actively acquiring and upgrading facilities to meet the evolving needs of private and business aircraft operators. The Farmingdale project is poised to position SRAI as a key player in the Northeast market.
