By MGN Editorial•March 3, 2026 at 03:20 PM
Private equity firm Thoma Bravo expands its logistics and shipping software portfolio with the acquisition of 3PL WWEX Group.
In a move to strengthen its position in the logistics and shipping software space, private equity firm Thoma Bravo has agreed to acquire WWEX Group and merge it with Auctane, another company already in Thoma Bravo's portfolio.
According to FreightWaves, WWEX Group is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider that offers a range of services including freight brokerage, warehousing, and transportation management. Auctane, on the other hand, is a provider of shipping software solutions used by e-commerce businesses and online sellers.
The combination of WWEX Group and Auctane is expected to create a more comprehensive logistics and shipping technology platform that can better serve the needs of businesses in the rapidly evolving e-commerce and logistics landscape.
'This acquisition demonstrates Thoma Bravo's continued commitment to investing in and growing leading logistics and shipping software companies,' said Holden Spaht, a managing partner at Thoma Bravo. 'By bringing together the strengths of WWEX Group and Auctane, we believe we can create a powerful platform to better serve customers across the supply chain.'
The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the coming months. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
