Univar Solutions has announced a strategic partnership to exclusively distribute glycolic acid in the EMEA region, boosting access to ingredients and driving innovation in beauty, personal care, and industrial cleaning.

Univar Solutions B.V., a leading global specialty chemicals and ingredients distributor, has announced a new strategic partnership to exclusively distribute glycolic acid in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. According to the press release, this agreement will 'dynamize regional access to ingredients and drive innovation' in key industries such as beauty, personal care, home care, and industrial cleaning. Glycolic acid is a popular ingredient in skincare products due to its exfoliating and anti-aging properties. 'This partnership strengthens our portfolio of specialty ingredients and supports our strategy to provide customers with innovative solutions,' said Nick Powell, President of Univar Solutions EMEA. 'Glycolic acid is an in-demand ingredient, and we're pleased to offer our customers exclusive access in this important region.' The move aligns with Univar's broader efforts to expand its specialty chemicals and ingredients business. In recent years, the company has struck similar exclusive distribution deals for materials like silicones and bio-based solvents. This latest agreement with the glycolic acid supplier is expected to enhance Univar's capabilities in the personal care and industrial markets across EMEA.
