Uranium Energy Corp Expands Production, Secures Licensing for U.S. Conversion Facility

Uranium Energy Corp receives approval to expand in-situ recovery production in Wyoming and achieves a key regulatory milestone for its U.S. uranium conversion facility.

In a significant development for the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain, Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE American: UEC) has announced two major achievements. First, the company has received approval from regulators to expand production at its Christensen Ranch in-situ recovery (ISR) operations in Wyoming. This will allow UEC to commence extraction at three new header houses, increasing its overall ISR production capacity in the state. 'Expanding our production footprint at Christensen Ranch is an important step forward as we work to bolster domestic uranium supply,' said UEC President and CEO Amir Adnani. 'With this approval, we can ramp up output to meet the growing needs of the U.S. nuclear power industry.' The company also secured a key regulatory milestone for its planned U.S. uranium conversion facility. UEC's Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp subsidiary has achieved its first Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensing docket, a critical step towards constructing and operating the new conversion plant. 'Securing the NRC docket for our U.S. conversion facility marks a major accomplishment,' Adnani added. 'Establishing this new conversion capability on American soil will strengthen the resilience of the nation's nuclear fuel supply chain.' The expansion at Christensen Ranch and progress on the conversion facility come as the U.S. government has placed a greater emphasis on revitalizing domestic uranium production and processing. Analysts say these developments by UEC align with broader efforts to shore up the country's nuclear fuel independence. According to gCaptain, the announcements 'underscore Uranium Energy Corp's strategic position as a key player in the renaissance of the U.S. nuclear fuel cycle.'
