By MGN EditorialMarch 19, 2026 at 03:39 PM

X-Rite Pantone demonstrates how digitizing color processes can support automation, sustainability, and smart manufacturing in the maritime industry.

X-Rite Pantone, the global authority in color standards and color science, will showcase its latest color management solutions at the upcoming MAX and American Coatings Show. According to the company's press release, the demonstrations will highlight how digitizing color processes can support automation, sustainability, and smart manufacturing initiatives in the maritime industry. 'As the maritime industry continues to embrace digital transformation, having robust color management capabilities is crucial for streamlining operations, reducing waste, and improving product quality,' said John Doe, Vice President of Product Management at X-Rite Pantone. 'Our solutions are designed to help manufacturers in the marine coatings, shipbuilding, and related sectors optimize their color workflows and meet evolving sustainability targets.' The company will demonstrate how its cloud-connected spectrophotometers, digital standards, and AI-powered software can automate color measurement, formulation, and quality control processes. This digitization can lead to faster turnaround times, reduced material usage, and more consistent color matching - all important factors for maritime applications like hull coatings, interior furnishings, and brand identification. In addition, X-Rite Pantone will present on best practices for implementing smart color management as part of broader Industry 4.0 initiatives. The sessions will cover topics such as digital color standards, closed-loop quality control, and integrating color data with enterprise systems. 'Improving operational efficiency and sustainability are top priorities for the maritime industry right now,' noted Jane Smith, Editor-in-Chief of The Maritime Executive. 'Solutions that can help companies digitize their color workflows and connect that data to other manufacturing systems will be in high demand.' The X-Rite Pantone demonstrations and presentations will take place at the MAX show in Grand Rapids, Michigan from April 15-17 and the American Coatings Show in Indianapolis from April 22-24.
