Bancan Maritime Management, Inc. provides the following consulting services to the marine community. Attendance at Loading: Capt. Nelson, an ex-shipmaster, utilizes his expertise, gained over many years, to maximise cargo lift, expedite turn-around and ensure the utmost efficiency of vessel operation, thereby generating cost savings. Our clients receive a dedicated service from fixing through to completion of the vessel. Discharge: Bancan also conducts discharge surveys to ensure condition of cargo, and where damage is noted to investigate the causes and report to the client. We also undertake cargo surveys for insurance underwriters. Legal and P & I: Bancan provides expert opinions to the legal profession on both technical and commercial matters, examples being ship casualties and accidents, particularly those concerning command decisions. We are especially experienced in ice navigation. Charterparty disputes concerning off-hires due to vessel non-performance represent further necessity for utilizing our experience. Expert Witness: We have served in this capacity, in arbitration and in court, with 100% success rate for our clients to date.
