When 20-year-old Danish blacksmith Vilhelm Petersen sailed into Boston Harbor, little did he know that his journey would lead to the establishment of American Tool Companies, Inc. In 1902, "Bill" Petersen settled in Minden, Nebraska, where he worked for a fellow Danish blacksmith, keeping horses shod, plow shares sharpened and wagons repaired. Bill Petersen was an inventor at heart. With the introduction of the automobile and farm tractor, blacksmithing was on the decline. During the long Nebraska winters, Petersen experimented with his ideas. In 1921, he invented and patented a unique wrench with a "vise-like" grip. By 1924, Petersen had refined his invention by adding a locking lever. He patented the enhanced tool and gave it an innovative name that would become world famous: VISE-GRIP® locking pliers. He registered the distinctive clasped hands logo, a symbol that today represents the most recognized hand tool brand in the world. American Tool Companies, Inc., led by Allen Petersen, the founder’s grandson, has evolved into a leading global manufacturer and marketer of hand tools, cutting tools and power tool accessories. The company has more than 4,400 employees and manufacturing facilities throughout North America, Europe, Brazil, and the Pacific Rim. Today, its product lines include VISE-GRIP locking pliers, clamps and wrenches, IRWIN® wood boring and cutting tools, QUICK-GRIP® clamping products, RECORD® hand tools, MARPLES® woodworking tools, JACK® hand saws, POWERPRESS® pipe clamps, TURBOMAX® drill bits, PROSNIP® snips, MARATHON® and SPRINT® saw blades, UNIBIT® step drills, HANSON® taps, dies and drills, CHESCO® hex tools, SPEEDBOR® wood boring bits, and STRAIT-LINE® marking tools. Quite a dramatic change from the day a young Danish immigrant traveled to America and established his place in history. Billingstad, Norway

Orcinius Orca also known as the killer whale is our logo, Why Orca ? - It is known for its intelligence, referring to the intelligent solution we have for corrosion problems. - It is a whale which symbolize green values referring to the environmental friendly solution we represent. - It is agressive, referring to our goal to get a reasonable share in the market. History In the mid 80’s Mr. Tom Berntsen started the marketing of self-adhesive films for mega- sized logos on ship sides. After several years these logos were repaired or replaced and he noticed that the areas covered by the vinyl had hardly any corrosion compared to the rest of the ship. On basis of this discovery he realised that this might be a new way to fight corrosion. Extensive research, development and testing began, resulting in the ultimate solution for corrosion, the 9800 HT Offshore film.

Rhodos '97 LtdPort Agent

Constanta, Romania

I’m the representant of Rhodos ’97 Crewing Agency established in Constanta, Romania since 1994. At this moment we are trying to develop new business cooperation related with shipping market. As you probably know Romania had a fleet of more than 500 ships with a lot of good qualified seafarers and two big shipyards. At this moment Romanian fleet counts no more than 50 active ships and the shipyards are not so active as they were before. The reason why I’m writing this facts is that we have a large pool of good qualified seafarers and shipyard personnel without a place of work and we hope that through your company we might find a solution in the way of starting a business cooperation for crew manning services and shipyards personnel supplier. Hopping to hear from you soon, I remain yours truly, Laurentiu Cretu Chairman
