Sunmar Shipping has been serving the North Pacific high seas fishing fleet since 1981. Sunmar Shipping is currently operating 20 vessels which receive frozen fish and fish meal products directly from fishing vessels during ship-to-ship high seas transshipment operations. These vessels are operating within the 200 mile exclusive economic zone of the Russian Far East, and Sunmar Shipping delivers their products to all major markets, including Europe, the United States, China, Korea, Japan and others. Sunmar vessels also deliver provisions and supplies directly to the fishing fleet on the Russian Far East fishing grounds. In addition, Sunmar reefer vessels participate in other reefer trades worldwide.
The firm has been organized to provide relatively inexpensive ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship and ship-to-ship e-mail communication using satellite communications technology.
