Our marine professionals specialize in working with business owners, senior executives andthier advisors in the marine industry to develop estate preservation strategies, business succession plan, pension, retirement and insurance plans. Our staff of 85 designs and adminsters plans for businesses and executives including: ship owners and operators, charterbrokers, consultants, bunker brokers, naval architects and marine engineers, admiralty attorneys, ships agencies and oil traders, among others. Sorie Knox and rick Wien are Co-Directors of the Marine Division.
Sorie Knox spent 25 years in the maritime industry, both afloat as a tanker master and ashore in tanker operations following graduation from the SUNY Maritime College. He founded the Marine Division in 1984.
Rick Wien, CLU joined Economic Growth Group in 1990, with 10 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience. he received an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a BS degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
