The American Sail Training Association is an international youth education and leadership development and maritime heritage preservation nonprofit organization.
A friendly, professional school offering a wide range of well proven navigation and sail training courses that meet the requirements of the Royal Yachting
Association's (RYA) training scheme.
Opened in 1991, the Museum offers a world-class collection of maritime art, models of historic sailing ships and a history of the Channel Coast and early 20th century development of Channel Islands Harbor and nearby Port Hueneme.
The Museum is open daily from 11 AM to 5 PM. Admission is free, but donations are
gratefully accepted. Knowledgeable docents are available to explain the exhibits. Special maritime educational programs are available for school children, including "at sea" activities aboard affiliated research and sail training vessels.
