For Worldwide offices click on: http://www.yacht-transport.com/index.php?sid=116&l=eng Float-on/float-off service: Hassle free float-on/float-off yacht carrying services to destinations worldwide on board of our semi-submersible yacht carriers. These yacht carriers can load and discharge using the float-on/float-off method. After deck preparation -installation of keelblock cradles and supports to the deck of the yacht carrier- the vessel submerges into a 'floating marina' to a draft required for loading the yachts. When all yachts are moored in their reserved position the yacht carrier starts her dock operation. Once the deck is dry, the yachts are secured to the deck and are ready for a safe crossing. During transport, the yachts are safely stowed between the yacht carriers' spray-covers, protecting them from the elements.

For centuries maritime shipping has been overwhelmingly the dominant form of transportation for global trade. In marine transportation vessels are always expected to complete their voyages safely and without delay. Safety concerns in narrow waterways and ports are accentuated by the continuing increase in marine traffic. The attendant growth in cargo volume has likewise increased the scale of the potential hazards to life, property and the environment that could result from just one catastrophic marine accident. Human error has been identified as the key causal factor in marine accidents with a ratio that varies from 75% to 96% and that is 85% in average. These are the facts that make pilots and pilotage services the most important elements of safety in narrow waterways and ports. Due to their training for a specific area and their experience gained during everyday operations, pilots bearing ocean-going master licenses can minimize human errors almost to zero level. A comparison of the accident statistics between two areas, one where pilotage is compulsory and one where it is optional, unequivocally supports this.

"This is a spellbinding and eloquent story of tragedy, courage and the triumph of one man determined to see that his shipmates did not die in vain. Frump is a master reporter, and his prose grabs you and doesn't let you go. Until the Sea Shall Free Them is in the finest traditions of literary and investigative journalism." Mark Bowden, author, "Black Hawk Down" "This is a story told with riveting intensity. Frump captures both the feel of the cruel sea and the determination of a group of individuals who worked together to fix a broken system. Until the Sea Shall Free Them is maritime journalism at its best." Paul Stillwell, US Naval Institute "...a masterfully told tale of corruption, survival and redemption...Combining elements of salty derring-do, courtroom drama and modern corporate morality tale, it makes Sebastian Junger's 1997 best seller The Perfect Storm read like child's play."
